Overview
Below is a list of Optisoft.NET versions and all the major changes and bug fixes contained within each release. For further information please call the support desk on 0345 230 3450.
Optisoft.NET v1.0.18261
- Speed issues within the hosted environment have been addressed.
- An auto-log out feature has been added to the software.
- The user can now log into the software with the use of security fobs.
- Security has been altered to allow users to access the Diary Scheduling screen without Maintenance permissions.
- A button to allow the user to switch branches has been added to the Main Ribbon.
- Patient details that aren’t validated will not cause a popup to appear, and will remain in red text until corrected.
- Text on the patient appointment tab will display in the same colour as the associated appointment status.
- An error with auto saving patient records has been rectified.

- An Icon to collapse/restore both the Module and Activity columns has been added to the Status Bar.

- Printer Security can no longer be restricted in Security.
- Patient Records will now refresh after changing modules.
- All relevant buttons are now disabled in the Patient module, until the minimum requirements for a Patient Record has been entered.
- Validations for Irish (ROI) Mobile and Phone numbers have been added.
- You can no longer open a ToDo for a Patient that doesn’t belong to the active Branch (Hosted).
- You no longer are forced to have at least one email address in the ‘To’ field, in order to send an email.
- The Inactive Patients screen has been fixed.
- If an Analysis Code contains ‘&’ it will now merge correctly.
- An error in Patient Spectacle Prescriptions, when using custom VA values, has been resolved.
- ToDo templates can now be accessed (Hosted).
- In most cases, the Appointment module will now load with Today’s Date displayed.
- The scheduled Staff Member will now be displayed along side the Diary name, when using the ‘<No Template>’ option in the Appointment module.
- An error caused when adding an Appointment Note has been resolved.
- Numerous issues with paper sizes have been resolved in the Template Designer.
- The Templates module now filters correctly by Branch (Hosted).
- The Recall List is now ordered Alphabetically on the Patient Surname, then Forename.
- An error in the Data Generator when using Appointment Dates, has been resolved.
- The ‘Recall Details’ report name has been changed to ‘Future Recalls’.

- Throughout the software, drop down list will now expand when clicking anywhere on the control.
- Filtering in the Search popup has been improved.
- Incorrect SMS account levels being displayed has been fixed. (Hosted).
- When switching branches in the Patient Modules, the Active Patient will now automatically clear. (Hosted).
- Deleted Email Templates will no longer appear in Patients Email.
- Patients will now be ‘slotted in’ to the next appropriate Recall Band, should the Recall Start Date be back dated.
- The speed of saving User accounts has been improved. (Hosted).
- Appointment Notes can now be found in the Appointment Tab in the Patient module.
- Surgery details will now pass through to the GOS forms when a GP is not selected.
- School/University/College address can now be added to Patient Records.
- Deleted Contacts and Groups will now longer show in the search popup.

- Custom Appointment Events will now show on the Appointment Schedule Report.
- A bug in Find Next Appointment, when Appointment Events are included in Templates, has been resolved.
- The original booking date of each appointment will be displayed in Appointment History.
- Patient Notes can now be found in the Appointment Booking screen.
- Merge Codes have been created for the 2nd Part Start, End and Duration times of an Appointment.
- Diary Scheduling has been given its own setting in Appointment Maintenance Security.
- The Spellchecker in the Template Editor will now work on Workstation PC’s.
- An issue in the Data Generator involving Age and Email being on the same report, has been fixed.

- Age has been added to the Patient Info strip at the top of the Patient Record.
- The Salutation field on the Patient Record will update accordingly when the Patient's Surname is changed.
- Minor design alterations to Spectacle Rx Screen to ensure labels don’t get cut off.
- Fix for Email Signature to stop them from being removed when selecting a Template.
- Fix for Patient Recall History reloading deleted Patient Preferences has been resolved.
- Positive prescription values will now display the ‘+’ symbol, when printed or exported from the software.
- An error caused when adding a new ToDo Description has been resolved.
- When printing a Patient Document, the user now has the choice of sending the document straight to the printer (Print Button) or displaying the merged document on screen (Preview Button).
- The Patients Reference Number will now merge fully, when a template is produced for Patient Printing.
- Email SMS Account Maintenance is now accessible from the Email SMS Module.
- Events will now show on the Appointment Schedule Report.
- A fix has been applied to Find Next Appointment to stop it from using the wrong opening times.
- Appointment Types are now ordered correctly in Find Next Appointment.

- An error caused by using the up and down arrow keys on the Search popup window, has been resolved.
- An error caused by changing branches multiple times, has been fixed.
- Small cosmetic changes have been made to the layout of the software.
- The Patient Print popup will now only display documents from the current branch.
- An issue with some printers not printing documents sent to through by .NET, has been resolved.
- An error that caused the New SMS button to be disabled on the Patient Email/SMS tab, has now been resolved.
- The user can now delete Staff members from the system, even when they are in use on Patient Records.
- The user can now delete Groups (Surgery) from the system, even when they are in use on Patient Records.
- The user can now delete Group Contacts (GP) from the system, even when they are in use on Patient Records.
- An issue where the software would not respond, when scanning or importing documents, has been resolved.

- A fatal error caused by typing a Recall Enclosure Rule Name, has been resolved.

- The software will now remember the last user name entered.
- An error caused by moving items up and down lists and editing their name in the same action, has been fixed.
- An issue with automatic Postcodes has been resolved.
- Icons on the Activity Pane are now Enabled/Disabled at the correct time.
- Contacts can no longer be edited so that they don't have a contact type.
- Old SMS's sent within Optisoft Enterprise can now be viewed in the Patient Document tab.
- Old Microsoft Word templates can now be viewed in the Patient Document tab.
- Deleted Templates no longer show in Patients SMS.
- Saved Walk-In entries now appear in both Patient Spectacles and CL Rx.
- Rx values can now be deleted, even when in use.
- When typing a 2 digit year, the Patient Date of Birth field now selects the expected 4 digit year.
- Capital letters are now retained when editing Analysis Codes.
- An error caused when clicking the onscreen Analysis Code Maintenance button, has been fixed.
- An error that prevented the export of the grid in the Recall Run Tab, has been fixed.
- An issue with auto save when editing information in Recall Band Maintenance, has been resolved.
- You can now click New Note on an Appointment without having to save it first.
- The Appointments module will now show a maximum of 4 Diaries instead of 3.
- Unavailable days and time slots have been made more obvious in the Appointments module.
- Diary Name and the Date labels have been made bigger in the Appointments module.
- Speed improvements to the way in which Templates are loaded has been applied.
- Total number of results has been added to the Data Generator.

- Multiple Errors caused by resizing or reordering columns within data grids have been resolved.
- Double clicking on the scroll bar within the search results popup no longer loads a record.
- The user can now search for a Patient using the following format - Surname + Forename.
- An issue in Analysis Code Maintenance where a 'Name' code was automatically being saved, has been resolved.
- The columns within the patient search popup have been reordered with Reference Number being added.
- A small white line has been removed from the search popup.
- The remaining credits shown when creating an SMS message are now accurate.
- Printing a GOS form for a patient now saves a copy of the form in the Patients Documents tab.
- When printing a document for a patient the user can now double click on a document to initiate the print routine.

- The user can now specify whether a template should auto print rather than being displayed before printing.
- The name of the template being edited has been added to Template Maintenance.
- Contact Number fields now appear in the list of merge fields in Templates Maintenance.

- A fatal error, when using AND & OR together, in the Data Generator has been resolved.
