There are 4 ways you can move an existing appointment:

Drag and Drop

  • Click and hold down the mouse button on an existing appointment.
  • Whilst still holding the mouse button down, drag the appointment its new position.
  • Let go of the mouse button and the appointment should move.
  • Please note, you can only drag and drop onto the same Day/Week as you start on.

Cut and Paste

  • Right click on an existing appointment to display the right click menu.
  • Choose Cut from the menu. The existing appointment should disappear.
  • Navigate to the new desired date and time.
  • Right click on the necessary time slot and choose Paste from the menu. The appointment should reappear in its new position.
  • Please note, if you cut but then forget to paste, the appointment will be restored to its original position after 30 seconds.

Update the Date

  • Double click on an existing appointment and update the date field accordingly
  • Please check where you are moving the appointment too is appropriate.

Cancel and Re-book

  • Double click or right click on an existing appointment.
  • Go to Status and choose a cancelled option.
  • The original appointment should now disappear.
  • Book a new appointment in the new position as required.
  • Although technically not moving an appointment, this will ultimately have a similar effect, however, this method will alter you cancellation statistics and any Notes/Sources/Reasons will have to be re-selected. The cancelled appointments will also remain on that Patients Appointment History.

In all but the last way of moving an appointment, an automatic note will be added to the appointment being moved that indicates where the appointment was moved from, to help with traceability.
